The museum site in Enisala village presents the traditional architecture in Northern Dobrudja in the early 20th century. The architectural complex includes the house with pantry and other domestic additions: stable, sheds, outdoor kitchen and oven, a storehouse for maize and the well; on display tools and equipment used in the practice of trades and crafts can be found. The household belonged to a farmer named Iosif P. Dumitru and was purchased in 1971 by the former director of museum institutions in Tulcea County, Simion Gavrilă, who arranged it in a museum opened in the early 80's.
