Chisinau City Hall

The Chisinau City Hall is one of the few buildings of the 19th century, located on the main thoroughfare of Chisinau, on the main boulevard - Stephen the Great and Saint Boulevard.

The City Hall is a historical and architectural monument. The design was entrusted to the city architects Mitrofan Elladi and A. Bernardazzi. The architecture of the building is in an eclectic spirit based on Italian Renaissance architecture. The building suffered terrible damage during the Second World War and required painstaking efforts to return to its former glory.

In the City Hall building is also located the Tourist Information Centre. On the first floor of the building visitors can find some shops with souvenirs and clothes from local designers.
