The National Museum of History of Moldova

The National Museum of History of Moldova is situated in the centre of Chisinau. It is one of the most important museum institutions in the country due to its rich heritage.

The exhibitions illustrate the history of Moldova from the oldest times to the present, showing the economic, cultural, political, and social development of the human society in this geographic area in different historical times. In the permanent exhibition "History and Civilization" of the National History Museum of Moldova, the Prehistory hall, there is a reconstruction of a reconstructed vertical loom used in the Neolithic period by the carriers of the Cucuteni-Tripoli culture.
